God will supply all the needs of those who give. This is God's promise. Our God is a rich and bountiful God. Creator God is the owner of all things. Psalm 24:1, โThe earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein..โ Haggai 2:8, โThe silver
is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts..โ All of us belong to God. Therefore, offerings are giving God what we have received from God (1 Chronicles 29:11, 14). He speaks as if these bills were to be paid from the treasury of the kingdom of heaven. And he leaves
God to reward them for the favors they show him. โNot only as your God but also as my God, he will reward you for it, for he considers what is done to me as done to himself. You have provided for my needs even in your poverty. He will provide for your needs according to his
riches." But still, it is made possible through Christ Jesus. Through him, we receive grace to do good, and through him also we should expect a reward for it. This does not mean that we expect to be compensated for any debt we deserve, but only to be compensated with grace.
The more we do things for God, the more we are indebted to him. Because we are rewarded for more than we have done in our lives. God, who is the owner of the whole world and is rich, will abundantly give necessary things to the saints who live by faith and obey the words of
the Bible. Psalm 37:25-26, โI have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed his is blessed.โ Proverbs 11:24-25, โThere is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is
that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself..โ Jesus Christ said, โSeek ye first his [Godโs] kingdom and his righteousness. Then all these [necessities of food, clothing,
and shelter] will be added to youโ (Matthew 6:33).
