In the Hijab debate with @Haqiqatjou, the lady (I forgot her handle, I'm sorry), (his opponent) made the claim that Muslim men, in reference to women's hair, "fear hair" even as little as "two strands of hair".
The underlying assumptions here seem to be that hair itself...

...is of no intrinsic s*xual value & that it is men who s*xualize hair when it would otherwise not be.
To the contrary, evolutionary biology & social psychology affirm that hair itself does not have a NEUTRAL (or no) s*xual value but actually the opposite. Hair signifies...

...the reproductive health of women & that hair itself acts as a cue for intersexual selection (mate selection).
In other words, the data shows that it is not that men fear hair, but rather that hair itself intrinsically plays a big role in attracting mating...

Given that her underlying assumption was false, it does not follow & cannot follow that women are not cognizant of the attractive qualities of their hair or of its beautifying affects.
Hair use/play as solicitation behaviors have long been identified.

NB: I'm only commenting on the above two claims mentioned during the Opening Statement of his opponent.
My current remarks are not about ethical or faith-based values, but about the biological (ethological) & socio-cultural research in light of her claims.
