If you lack self-belief, read this:
Think of a goal that feels impossible to you.
How would it feel to achieve it?
Now think about why that goal feels impossible to you.
Maybe you have no evidence it can be achieved.
Maybe you have no evidence YOU can achieve it.
Truth is, impossible is a belief, not a fact.

We thought travelling on water was impossible.
Then we invented boats.
We thought flying was impossible.

We thought a 4-min mile was impossible.
Then Roger Bannister disproved this.
4 runners ran it the following year.

If you met your mentor, what would you ask them?
Most would ask:
How did you get where you are?
What tactics did you use?
How did you overcome X problem?
Alex Hormozi says a better question is:

Alex Hormozi says a better question is:
‘What do I believe to be true that isn’t?’
People who achieve the impossible aren’t special.
They have different beliefs about the world.
‘We question all our beliefs, except for the ones that we really believe in, and those we never think to question.’ - Orson Scott Card

Us ‘normies’ box ourselves in.
- ‘I’m too young to do X.’
- ‘I can’t do X because of X.’
- ‘X won’t happen because I’m too old.’
- ‘I’ll never be X because I wasn’t born with it.’
They are all just excuses.

4 beliefs that held me back for years were:
- ‘Money is the root of all evil.’
- ‘I’m not a long distance runner.’
- ‘I wasn’t born with self-discipline’
- ‘I’m a night owl, I’ll never be able to wake up early.’
Deep down they were excuses to keep me in my comfort zone.

I’d written off achieving these goals before I’d started.
Once you tell yourself something will never happen, it won’t.
The trick is to question every belief you have about yourself.
Then take tiny steps to prove or disprove it.
Self-belief is built slowly.

I thought running 40 miles was impossible, so I started with 3.
I thought waking at 5:30am was impossible, so I started with 8.
I thought making $1000 online was impossible, so I started with 1.
I thought building discipline was impossible, so I started with one push-up a day.

Achieving a fraction of the bigger goal opened my eyes to the possibility.
Once you realise there’s a possibility you can achieve the goal, the floodgates open.
Here’s how you can build self-belief and achieve the impossible:
Once you realise there’s a possibility you can achieve the goal, the floodgates open.
Here’s how you can build self-belief and achieve the impossible:
1. Pick a (seemingly) impossible goal
Think about your health, wealth and relationships.
What is something you would like to achieve but seems impossible?
Think about your health, wealth and relationships.
What is something you would like to achieve but seems impossible?
2. Think about the beliefs you have around that goal
Catch yourself saying things like:
- ‘I can’t because of X’
- ‘I wasn’t born with X’
- ‘I’m too X’
If you need help then search ‘common health/wealth/relationships limiting-beliefs’.

3. Let go of certainty
You believe it to be true, but it’s not.
They are excuses.
Someone, somewhere believes the opposite.
It’s true for you now because you haven’t proved otherwise.
But it’s not true for everyone.
Be open to the possibility of it not being true.

4. Break the goal into it’s smallest form
How would the goal look if it was achievable?
Think about my examples above.
5:30am wake up turned into 8am.
40 mile run turned into 3 miles.
$1000 made online turned into $1.
Self-discipline turned into one tiny action everyday.

5. Find the daily habit
‘If I repeated this habit everyday and increased gradually I would be closer the goal.’
The trick is to start small and build slowly.
What daily habit would move the needle each day?

6. Start now
Not on Monday.
Not tomorrow.
Not in an hour.
Now.
Each completed habit builds the belief it's possible.

7. Reach the tipping point
Soon you'll hit a tipping point.
The first time I ran 20 miles, 40 seemed possible.
The first time I woke up at 6:30am, 5:30am seemed possible.
The first time I made $100 online, $1000 seemed possible.
Continue until the impossible seems possible.
