The Neolithic period is the most recent period in the development of human history. This period is the time in which the first permanent settlements were built, the first farming communities were established and the first large-scale animal domestication occurred.
The Neolithic period coincided with the development of early human societies and the advent of domestication of animals and plants. The Neolithic period also saw the development of early culture and the development of language.
The Arabian Peninsula: Current day (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Yemen) is a land of wonder and beauty.
It is home to some of the oldest civilizations on the planet. This is where the Neolithic Revolution began.
The Arabian Peninsula has been home to human settlements for tens of thousands of years. During the Neolithic period, the region was home to a thriving culture, with evidence of settlements, trade, and even art.

the village of Shuweihtia, 45 km north-west of the Sakakah, Al-Jawf, on one of the most important settlement sites in the world and now being considered one of the oldest human settlement in Asia and the second oldest human settlement in the world
Archaeological evidence has shown that the area has flourished since the Assyrian and Babylonian eras; furthermore, the same site has been talked about in written sources.
The history of the settlement of Shuweihtia according to fossils also dates to the Palaeolithic age which is the Old Stone Age. The site is a collection of scattered stone tools on both sides of the Shuweihtia valley.
