Most people could never be successful entrepreneurs.
Here are 5 reasons why (& how you can be different):
First off...
There's nothing wrong w/ not being an entrepreneur or w/ working a 9-5.
Most just aren't built for entrepreneurship.
A 9-5 can be a great 1st step towards wealth creation
But some ppl want more out of life & there's nothing wrong w/ that too.
Now let's begin 👇🏽
1. They have extreme risk aversion.
Most people avoid risk like the plague.
Can you blame them?
They sell so much of their time for such little money.
They know that, if they lose their money on a wrong move, they'll have to sell even more time to get back to point 0.
How you can fix this is by:
-Assessing the risk involved w/ every action
-Preparing as best as you can (setting money aside, etc.)
-Feeling the fear
-Taking the calculated risk anyway
This way, you'll have taken action & gotten started, while cutting some of that risk.
2. They lack focus.
We live in the age of social media.
Everyone is exposed to a barrage of hyper-stimulating content every single day.
This has completely DECIMATED people's ability to concentrate.
Most people can hardly sit down and focus on a task for 20 minutes.
But...
There's some good news: this one is quite simple to fix.
All it takes is a bit of discipline
You can either delete all social media apps on your phone & focus instead on reading
Or you can use social media to produce
Instead of consuming content, you'll use it to create value
3. They're lost & have no direction.
Entrepreneurship is a path w/ no clear beginning, middle or end.
The path is hazy & looks different for different people.
In general, each entrepreneur carves their own creative path.
Unfortunately, most people aren't taught this skill.
Instead, it's extremely important that you teach yourself.
Become financially educated.
Study successful business people & models.
Don't try to reinvent the wheel.
Invest in a mentor or coach (@SalesCoachToby, for example).
These are all extremely solid ways to get a roadmap
4. They can't manage their time.
There's no nice way to put this: most people waste countless hours of their lives doing nothing.
Hours they'll NEVER get back
This is especially true for people in their 20s.
Wasting their most energetic years watching Netflix or doomscrolling
How do you combat this?
Adopt this simple mindset:
"When I'm awake, I'm working."
Bring professionalism & excellence to everything you do.
Gym, personal relationships or free time.
Always make sure you're advancing your position on the chess board.
5. They lack patience.
Average life is not easy.
Living paycheck-to-paycheck is far from fun.
You want to escape the rat race as quickly as possible.
But, sadly, there are no shortcuts in entrepreneurship.
Any quick fix won't be worth it & the best things take time to build.
This is the most challenging issue to fix.
It requires a complete mindset shift.
You have to focus on doing what you need to do day by day & trust the plan.
Use every win as inspiration.
View every loss as a lesson.
& never lose faith in the fact you're going to make it.
Becoming an entrepreneur is not an easy task.
But it doesn't have to be difficult.
