Earlier this year I received a large donation from a supporter of mine out of the blue. (creators please look out for this)
I got the sense that this was not normal. I called them on discord immediately and sure enough they were about to end their life.

Emergency services were dispatched, and he was saved thank goodness.
I of course returned the money and followed up to see how his treatment went.

His treatment in an American hospital began and ended with him being locked in a room with no objects he could use to kill himself and an electronic tablet AI system to talk him through his emotions.
He expressed to me afterwards that this experience only deepened his state of grief and loss in this world. That even the professionals paid to save his life didn't want to spare the time to connect with him.

I of course asked if I could share this story. He said it would fine, and is now working with a lovely HUMAN social worker today.
Worst part: his lupus was misdiagnosed as bipolar so they unnecessarily put him on psych meds for 5 years which led him to having these problems.
