Thread on How Bengali's went out of Bengal and contributed in shaping the medieval India, like 18-20 th century.
Part 4: Literary Art, Prose and Poetry.
1. Kalyanasvami, son of Shaktisvami, minister of Lalitaditya Muktapida, was so learned, has been compared to Yagnavalkya.
2. His grandson Jayanta / JayantaBhatta wrote Nyaya Manjuri, acquired knowledge through Veda, Vedanga and all other sastras.
3. His son Abhinanda, was author of Kadambari- Kathamara.
4. Lakshmidhara, court poet of Paramara King Bhoja, is the author of Mahakavya Chakrapani-Vijaya.
5. Halayudha, whose 64 poetic verses are engraved in Amareshvara temple in Malava.
6. Madana, who was pupil of Jaina Scholar Asadhara, recieved the title of Bala- sarasvati from Paramara King Arjunavarman. He is the author of Parijata-manjari.
7. Gadadhara and his sons, Devadhara and Dharmadhara, were poets in the court of Chandella king Parmardi.
8. Ramchandra Kavibharati, went to Sri Lanka. The king Parakramabahu II, conferred on him the title of Bauddhagama-chakravarti.
He wrote 3 books - Bhakti-sataka, Britta Mala, Vritta-ratnakara-panchika.
Gauda karna Kayasthas, were expert scribes, they wrote many prashastis for great kings.
9. Sukshma siva, wrote Aphsad inscription of king Adityasena.
10. Karanika Jaddha, wrote inscription on Khajuraho.
11. Takshaditya, wrote the Dewal Prashasti.
12. Mahadeva, wrote the Kinsariya inscription of Durlabhraja Chahamana.
13. Thakura Pethada, wrote Nadol inscription of Rajyapala Chahamana.
14. Sripati,wrote Delhi-Shiwalik inscription of Visaladeva Chahamana.
15.Pratiraja,wrote Pendrabandh plates of Kalachuri Pratapamalla
