At the risk of annoying a few (and I say this as someone with close roots to TN), this is the only state where chauvinism has been a disgusting element of their identity since far too long. Not just politics, but media, entertainment, street sentiment all point to an exaggerated+
pompousness about its uniqueness & gifted exalted status. Probably being tucked away all the way down has historically isolated & insulated its experiences with humbling ground realities of a national fabric ethos. The Dravidian ideology has effectively damaged Tamil heritage.
The constant swing between seething and gloating is the hallmark of a flock that is delirious on the promise of a βpure peopleβ. Idiots of the highest order and lowest critically intellectual capacity.
When I see a Malayali supporting this call for Tamil supremacy, all I recall is how many refer to Tamilians as βpandiβ as a common (even if unintentional) slur.
But of course when the common enemy is the average North Indian, all is forgotten.
