You have to fix it by focusing on what you CAN control.
4 things you can always control:
1) Your attitude.
Instead of letting your attitude be affected by external factors, take control of it.
Create a positive attitude by:
- Self-talk
- Doing things for others
- Being open-minded
2) Your response to adversity.
You’ll never be able to control the problems that occur in your life, but you can control how you respond to them.
When faced with an obstacle:
- Take a step back
- Give yourself time to think
- Only respond when you’re ready
3) Your habits.
Good habits such as exercising and learning are great for your mental and physical health.
How to build habits:
- Start small
- Reward yourself
- Repeat them for 60 days
4) Your friends.
Building a good network of people around you is the key to happiness.
They'll be there for you when things get tough.
Your friends should be:
- Positive
- Supportive
- Hard-working
