1) Battle of bednur (1690) — santaji ghorpade defeats mughal force under matlab khan & shafza khan at bednur
2) battle of kaveripak (13 dec ,1690) — santaji ghorpade defeat's mughal force at kaveripak & capture's mughal general ali mardan khan & 1500 horse's ,the captured mughal general paid 1 lakh hun for release
3) First battle of satara (may, 1690) — ghalib khan (son of sharza khan) marched to oppose maratha bands under santaji & dhanaji but hopelessly outnumbered & Defeated by marathas after losing 1500 dead
4) second battle of satara (1690) — rustam khan (alias sharza khan) went to aid of his defeated son , & delivered an assualt on marathas but after a fight mughal troops fled the field
Rustam khan himself suffered wounds & captured by marathas with family & held to ransom
5) battle of conjeveram (2 feb, 1693) Qasim khan, mughal faujdar of Conjeveram was reported to be coming with supplies & a strong force for siege of jinji but santaji intercepted & repulsed him near conjeveram , qasim khan shut himself up in conjeveram temple
6) Battle of Chitradurg (nov ,1695) — santaji ghorpade raided camp of qasim khan & khanazad khan near Chitradurg , Marathas slew & wounded the guards & servants carried off everything they could & after a desperate fight the Mughals give up the field & retreat to dodderi
7) Siege of dodderi (dec, 1695) — mughlas were completely encircled by marathas under santaji in fort dodderi , 1/3rd of the mughal army slain by marathas & Qasim khan took poison & commited Suicide to avoid disgrace , poor khanazad offered 20 lakhs to marathas for release
8) Battle of basavapatan (20 jan ,1696) — santaji ghorpade defeated mughal force under himmat khan & killed his son , himmat khan after being shot by maratha soldier fell unconscious on field & died later
All defeat's of santaji mentioned here were no more than small skirmishes & maratha system of guerrilla warfare of avoiding pitched battle's
All defeat's of santaji against himmat khan were of no decisive results
There was no imperial general bold enough to resist santaji , every loss he inflicted on Mughals made the boldest warriors quake
Ismail khan & sharza khan as brave as lion were defeated by him & taken as prisoners & had to pay ransom for release....etc
