Sisodias or Gahlots:
A curious case of an identity crisis Today, we will see how Gahlots or Sisodias changed their claims of origin multiple times only to hide their origins from a Brahmin and even tried to Hide evidence of their Brahmin origin. 1/n
Notwithstanding their current pretensions of descent from Suryavansh, the Guhils have been mentioned as Brahmins in their earliest inscriptions. Bappa Rawal, who is perhaps the most illustrious member of this clan is clearly mentioned as Brahmin at multiple sources. 2/n
The Achaleswara Inscription Clearly describes Bappa Rawal obtaining a status of Kshatriya and renouncing his Brahmin status in guidance of Harit Rishi. Therefore Bappa was given the prestigious status of Brahma-Kshatriya i.e. Brahmin who pursues Royalty. 3/n
In Earliest of Guhil Inscriptions & records, A Nagar Brahmin named Guhadatta is mentioned as founder of Dynasty but in 13th century Sisodias came up with new origin myth which states Bappa Rawal as founder of dynasty. However both are mentioned as from the lineage of "Vipras" 4/n
However, our Raju friends allege that the word used is "Vipra" which may not necessarily mean Brahmin and it may refer to a learned person in general. However, this allegation is utterly false. Vipra very clearly means Brahmin only. This allegation can aptly be termed a cope. 5/n
This blatant dishonesty of our Raju friends is not new. The Sisodia Raju Ranas even tried to hide/ deface inscriptions that recorded their Brahmin origin because they posed threat to their Suryavansh LARP! Unfortunately for them, this act of vandalism was exposed and...6/n
archaelogists salvaged the inscriptions in question.
To make things muddier, we also have Chandravanshi claimants amongst the gohils, the current kangs of bhavnagar state who claim descent from legendary Pandavas(Chandravansh) through Salivahan(prince of Medapat Guhilas ). 7/n
Given that Gohils or Sisodias have already made such a mockery of history, its hardly surprising that some of them claim origins from foreign dynasties. One Branch of Gehlots claim descent from famous persian king Noshirwan aka Khusrow. 8/n
Also, The Brahmin Origins of Sisodiyas were known to Kumbha who mentioned Bappa Rawal as Brahmin in "Geet govind".
In 20th century Maulvi Abdul Farhati in "Tofai Rajasthan" clearly mentioned Ranas of Mewar as Brahmins but unfortunately Mewar sisodias proscribed this book too.9/n
Lastly, Here's our suggestion to Sisodia kangs like @Engr_Who
Given such uncertainty about the parentage of Sisodias, @Engr_Who ji must rename himself to "Bapu_Who?" until you find real bapu of sisodias- Brahmins,Suryavansh,Chandravansh or Persians. 10/n
