What's everything else?
1. Researching your target market
2. Researching your DMs/Prospects
3. Helping you understand your product
4. And much more (Part 2)
I'll only be covering 1-3 in part one.

ChatGPTs output quality is the result of your input.
Bad prompt = Bad outcome

@BowTiedBull PART 1:
"How to use ChatGPT to research your target market"
Most salespeople have no idea what their target market is. You might think you know. But you don't.
Can you describe what the ideal cooperation structure to sell is?
What about how a 10k-report can indicate good fit?

@BowTiedBull Exactly. You don't know.
But if you did you'd be an extremely effective & dangerous salesperson.
Sure you know it's companies with x headcount in x industry. But that's it. I'm talking about the "Ideal Market".
NOT the bare minimum requirements for you to sell to...

@BowTiedBull So how do we use ChatGPT to learn this?
Check out the Graphic below to see what qualities a target market *can* have.
Let's dive into how can you use ChatGPT to help you understand levels 2-5 targeting depth

Let's dive into how can you use ChatGPT to help you understand levels 2-5 targeting depth
@BowTiedBull Step 1. 🏁
In order to use ChatGPT you need to create a prompt outlining what information you're looking for.
This needs to be very precise. What EXACT outcome are you looking for?
Well I know from the graphic above I want info from levels 2-5
So here's how I do it⚡

Well I know from the graphic above I want info from levels 2-5
So here's how I do it⚡
@BowTiedBull Prompt #1: Asking with precision
@BowTiedBull So I listed the traits I know from surface level to level 1
Then I prompted it to fill the info for levels 2-5
I simply copied my level 1-5 traits (+ some additional traits) in the same format.
I was VERY precise with what I wanted ChatGPT to do.

Results:
@BowTiedBull This is very accurate. This is a good high-level summary of what makes a company a good fit for Zoominfo.
This is your "Target Market"
But... this isn't 100% right. It's about 80%
It's far too general. Let's fix that 👇

@BowTiedBull Step 2. Expanding on it
We want to expand on what we don't know. You can ask it to expand on any topic you'd like.
In this case, I knew most of the traits already so I wanted to dial in and expand on specific traits I didn't know
*Highly effective method*

@BowTiedBull After reading this I was blown away by the results. This is a depth of targeting I didn't think ChatGPT was capable of...
This is incredibly powerful for refining your understanding of a target market
I can use this info and with pinpoint accuracy find the perfect trigger event

@BowTiedBull Imagine how powerful this would be in your workflow...
You could target with such precision you'd know with almost 100% certainty they'll need your product or service
This is just the start 👇

@BowTiedBull Step 3: Prospects
Now that we know our ideal target company lets find the ideal prospect to reach out to

@BowTiedBull Results:
@BowTiedBull ChatGPT is 97% correct
If you have all of these job titles at an organization and the DMs authority was ranked from highest to lowest this would be it.
With the expectation of "sales manager"
That needs to be ranked lower under "Head of Customer Success or Account Management"

@BowTiedBull Still, 97% accuracy is amazing!
If they didn't have all the titles listed you'd simply go down the list and find the one they have.
Let's take this a step further 👇

@BowTiedBull I want to know EXACTLY how Zoominfo is going to impact each role and the org as a whole.
So instead of guessing or calling I simply ask ChatGPT!
Prompt #4: Expand on X roles

@BowTiedBull Results:
@BowTiedBull I mean the results speak for themselves...
How long would it take you to Google this information? - 1 hour? 2? 5? 10 hours?
This is 100% accurate and connects the dots between decision-makers and how it impacts each role.
Just amazing... but what about the product? 👇 👇 👇

@BowTiedBull Step 4: Painpoints/product
"How does your technology or service work?"
Now, this is where a lot of reps struggle. Specifically with technical products or services
Companies do a bad job of explaining the tech and sales reps don't spend the time to learn

@BowTiedBull Let's end this once and for all!
I want this prompt to be very concise and list the pain points + explain the technology/service I sell
Prompt #5: Helping you understand your product better

@BowTiedBull Results:
@BowTiedBull This is getting repetitive at this point, but... pretty amazing...
Now it could be better and that's my fault. What I could've written instead is:
"Tie the examples back to my target market"
But that aside this is 100% correct.
Now if you sell a complex product/service...

@BowTiedBull You might need to teach ChatGPT what your product does or the specific features you have and add it to the prompt.
If have a feature that ChatGPT didn't catch like Zoominfo Engage platform and I want ChatGPT to write about.
I'd say: Include Zoominfo Engage in XYZ [ask]

@BowTiedBull That way I force ChatGPT to include it.
Now. I didn't like how general ChatGPT breakdown of the tech was.
Time to prompt it!
Prompt #6: Explain it...

@BowTiedBull Results:
@BowTiedBull I'm not going to write about tech since it's pretty boring. But you can see its explained perfectly.
What if you still don't understand it?
Simple... Ask it to use an analogy 🤯

@BowTiedBull That's pretty easy to understand now...
ChatGPT is better at explaining the technology than your manager, sales director, or sales vice president!
Kinda funny right?

@BowTiedBull As I'm sure you noticed ChatGPT mentioned "In this revised analogy"
That's because it left out a feature. So I asked it to include it with the prompt below.

@BowTiedBull Ok. I promise I'm almost done. Just read a little further. I promise its worth it.
@BowTiedBull Step 5: Pain points in depth
Thanks to ChatGPT we have our list of pain points. Lets dig deeper.

@BowTiedBull Now, this should be taken with a grain of salt. ChatGPT litters buzzwords throughout its response
However, ChatGPT does a fantastic job of explaining how X role is impacted by each pain point from their POV
They won't sound exactly like this. But it's in the right ballpark

@BowTiedBull Ok. Take a deep breath. You made it to the end.
As you have seen ChatGPT although not ready for cold emails (yet 😉) it's incredibly powerful when it comes to improving your knowledge about the market & your product
You now have a 24/7 dedicated sales AI assistant!
