For years, classical music seemed strange and distant to me
Then I came across some of these pieces, and my perspective began to change
Here’s a list of 10 pieces that forever changed how I enjoy classical music
It’s my hope they’ll do the same for you πŸ’ͺ🎢
1) DvoΕ™Γ‘k - Symphony No. 9 β€œFrom the New World”

Death is represented by a solo violin, calling out the dead from their graves to dance before him
Its an eerily soul-stirring (pun intended) piece of music

Swaying melodies and graceful rhythms take you on a journey and remain stuck in your head long after that journey ends
It’s a timeless waltz that captures both the elegance of 19th-century Vienna & the weightlessness of drifting through space
4) Shostakovich - Jazz Suite No. 2
Shostakovich embraces the playful side of jazz with a surprising departure from his symphonic works

7) Verdi - Dies Irae

10) Mozart - Piano Concerto No. 23
A sublime blend of elegance and emotional depth that showcases Mozart’s captivating musical prowess
