It's because they don't see the Left as those who speak for them or like them; but the poor are props in their stage play for peers.

Wealthy elite are one kind.
Intellectual ivory tower elite are another kind.
The worst is when both combine in one.

@iamharaldur I think the GOP is mostly reactionary at this point. They did weaponize abortion rights into a culture war issue successfully, but in other cases, like trans issues, are mainly reacting to the culture war from the Left.

@iamharaldur I've been a hippie, counterculture, yogi Left all my life. Have never voted Republican. But the new Left has left me.
I find their intolerance to alternative viewpoint, deplatforming, shouting down opponents, far worse than the Right at this point.

@iamharaldur Not to mention in the US, the Left is now the party of the US security state which loves the FBI, CIA and DHS.
