HOW TO GET A 6-FIGURE JOB IN 10 DAYS, a thread:
Click my pinned tweet and do everything I tell you to do.☺️ Leave the ifs, ands, and buts for someone else.
Step 1: Completely redo your resume
• The title (at the top) should match the position you’re applying to that is on the job post REGARDLESS if you’ve done the role yet or not
• The years of experience that you say you have should be tailored to match the job post as well
Let’s take a look at this PMM open position. If I wanted to go after this role, I would do the following:
• Tweak my resume template to have any of the skills that they’re asking for that I don’t already have listed
• Change my years of experience to 4+ instead of 5+
Step 2: Update your Cover Letter
Since I’m applying to a non-profit position as a PMM, I would:
• Change the wording of my document to talk more about fundraising and how “I help communities thrive through strategic global marketing.”
• Add Non-Profit Leadership to my skills
Step 3: Optimize your LinkedIn Profile 💻
Idk how many different ways and examples I can give on LinkedIn tbh, but mine is already tailored for the PMM industry, but if you need help with yours.
Go through this thread:
You want your RESUME and your LINKEDIN PROFILE to tell the same exact career story so whatever is on your resume should be on your LinkedIn. Make them mirror each other.
• Titles
• Years of Experience
• Skills
• Companies
Whatever you change, change in both places
Step 4: Actually USE your LinkedIn Profile
Make, like, share, and comment on posts about your role (if you work in it yet or not)
• Why I Became a PMM
• Day in the life of a PMM
• Top 3 Reasons to Become a PMM
• The Hardest Part about PMM
• How to be Successful as a PMM
You need to make it APPEAR LIKE you actually do the job you say that you do! ACT LIKE YOU ARE WORKING ALREADY!
Google something about it and post it, watch a YouTube video and talk about it.
• Repost people in your industry
• Comment on PMM posts
• Follow PMM groups
It should NEVER be blank on your LinkedIn Profile, even worse if the only time you make posts is when you’re letting everyone know how hard it is for you to get hired.
Imagine being on Tinder and someone’s profile is “wow nobody will date me, I can’t get a date, anybody date me”
Step 5: Take every single ONE of these tips until they work so you can join the money team
• Follow Hiring Managers
• Connect with Recruiters
• Reach out for Coffee Chats ☕️
• Ask people in the network who is HIRING
• Bust your ass, idk
Are you struggling to get hired still after taking every single tip laid out in this thread?
