I started writing on Twitter in October of 2022.
Fast forward 5 months to now, I:
• Dropped out of college
• Built an audience of 25k
• Moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina
• Make a full-time income from writing
Here's everything I did to get to where I'm at today:
I invested in myself
I found Money Twitter in March 2022.
Then I proceeded to procrastinate for the next 7 months...
The only way I got myself to start?
Pulling the trigger on courses & coaching.
"People who pay, pay attention."
Put your money where your heart wants to go.
I consumed tons of content
Everyone talks about shifting from consumer to creator.
But the truth is:
You have to study the game in order to conquer it.
And on Twitter, the only way to do so is by reading tons and tons of content.
The best creators are the best consumers.
I made friends
By writing about my interests, I attracted many like-minded people.
I then nurtured these relationships through:
• DMs
• Video calls
• Group chats
• Meeting up IRL
Making friends makes the grind 10x more enjoyable.
I wouldn't have made it without them.
I tweeted every damn day
If you really want to make a living online, you MUST adopt this mindset:
"If I don't post every day, I die."
(Homage to @thedankoe + @WrongsToWrite)
After a few months of daily creation and iteration...
You'll feel the momentum carry you to success.
@thedankoe @WrongsToWrite I played it like a video game
I was addicted to tons of video games growing up:
• FIFA
• Fortnite
• Black Ops
So, I decided to treat writing on Twitter the exact same:
• Level up my following
• Play with friends
• Earn some coin
The reward?
Real-world freedom & money.
@thedankoe @WrongsToWrite I wrote about my interests
If you don't inherently enjoy the writing process...
You'll never survive long enough to see success.
This is why I wrote about my:
• Travels
• Experiences
• Achievements
If it's not fun for you, it's not for you.
Write about your passions.
@thedankoe @WrongsToWrite I dropped out to do it full-time
Recently, I was forced to make a decision:
1) Stay in school & let my business stagnate
2) Drop out and scale this mf'er
Obviously, I chose #2.
And now I'm having more fun & making more money than ever before.
Freedom is a helluva drug.
@thedankoe @WrongsToWrite I moved to Argentina
I dropped out while on a study abroad program in Buenos Aires.
And since my work gives me location freedom, I decided to stay.
My daily life in BA:
• Mate
• Steaks
• Reading
• Café work
• Gym + sauna
It's a higher quality of life for half the price.
@thedankoe @WrongsToWrite My journey to becoming a full-time creator:
• Dropped out
• Made friends
• Tweeted every day
• Moved to Argentina
• Invested in coaching
• Wrote about my interests
• Played it like a video game
• Consumed countless content
I'm not special.
If I can do it, you can too.
