This is Tish Letay Merricks. She is a beloved Brunswick, Georgian mum who has sadly passed away after a long battle with Sickle Cell Anaemia.. She is a graduate of Brunswick High School and tragically died barely days after welcoming her daughter.
Tish was announced dead after a long battle with Sickle Cell Anaemia post partum. She was a beloved mother of two children and a step mum to three older kids. She was loved by her family and friends.
Although Tish may be gone, she requested that her organs be donated to help save as many lives as possible, making her one of the heroes the world will always remember and appreciate. An emotional Honour Walk for Tish was held at the hospital to celebrate her life and sacrifice.
In this video, everyone, including her family, friends, and well-wishers could be seen sobbing as the hospital staff gently wheeled her bed around in an honour walk.
Her death has certainly left a big hole in the heart of those who loved her, especially her mother and the father of her children, David Armstrong Jr. May her gentle and sweet soul continue to rest, Amen.❤️
