It's easy for me to spit advice since I'm so far ahead of you in the game, right?
Suppose I woke up tomorrow with:
• No income
• No contacts
• No portfolio
I could still get to $5K/month in 4-6 weeks or less.
Here's how...

Too many of you limit your potential because you think you "can't."
Your obstacles aren't limits. They are simply roadblocks you can get around.
But YOU have to do it.
Here's how I would overcome these roadblocks:

But YOU have to do it.
Here's how I would overcome these roadblocks:
1. Slap together a sample portfolio with 3 pieces of copy.
Clients don't WANT to see a giant portfolio.
They have no time to sift through all that.
They just want to see enough to show you can write well.
I can write a couple emails and a blog post in 2 hours or less.

2. Build a list of 200-300 companies to target.
I'll pick a niche and GO. I won't worry about the "best". There is no "best".
Everybody needs copy.
I'll Google around to find business names in that niche. I won't stop until I hit at least 200.
I can do this on the first day.

3. Google "marketing" and each company name.
I want names of specific people who might make marketing decisions at each company.
Not looking for perfection. I just want to get close enough.
Between Google and LinkedIn, I can finish this out in one full day of searching.

4. Find their email addresses.
Again, Google.
I'll search for names with company domains until I find their email address or a few email addresses of anybody who works there.
I can guess the format (because company email formats are standard).
1-2 days of serious Googling.

5. Write a cold email template.
• Here's who I am
• Here's how I can help your company make more money
• Let's book a time to chat and see if there's a fit here

I'm not going for the sale or droning on about my qualifications.
I'm NOT sending my writing samples.
I'm starting a conversation.
I can write one of these in 15 minutes, tops.

6. Copy and paste this template into 25 cold emails per day.
I run down the list, create an email for each person on the list, paste in their name and company name, and hit "send".
I can do this in a few hours per day, max.

"It'd be more efficient if you use X app! You can send more emails per day!"
Don't care.
First, I have zero income. I can't pay for an email app.

Second, I have to crawl before I walk or run. I don't know if this cold email template works or not.
I'll know after 2 weeks of cold emailing with it.
Consistency and patience wins the game.

7. Every week, follow up with those cold prospects.
I find the most recent email I sent and hit "reply" to keep the thread intact.
"Did you get a chance to look at this yet?"
Can do this in about 15-30 minutes per day.

8. Keep adding more companies to the spreadsheet and repeat.
300 should be plenty, but I can add more if I want to cast a wider net.

9. I don't stop, even after booking the first client.
It's tempting to take my foot off the gas.
But I have to stay vigilant if I want to have a successful, sustainable career.

I bet, by following these steps rigidly, I'll have paying work coming in 2-3 weeks at most.
Probably be back up to $5K/month with a month to a month-and-a-half.

You see what's NOT on this list?
• Paid apps, which we already discussed
• Social media, because OUTBOUND = speed
• Building a website, because clients don't care
• Job boards, because I'm not lazy or stupid

This is all about brute force ACTION.
I don't care about your "optimization" tips.
In fact, if you reply to this thread with suggestions on how to make it better, I'm blocking you for the inability to read or see the point I'm making.

You spend all your time optimizing and tweaking and changing apps and making things the "best" that you forget about the pure power of forward movement.
I can optimize later.
This is "all hands on deck".
I need to GO.

"How much do I charge?"
"What niches should I target?"
"Is my cold email template good?"
ACTION answers these questions.
Keep going and trying things.

I want you to take action so you're in the game, not on the bench.
