Caicedo is special - very special - but unless we are done with developing Sambi, there is honestly no need for both Rice and him.
If we wanted to give Mikel some luxury, make it a winger. Leao, if possible, and if not, then someone on Saka's side (preferably Diaby or Raphinha).

A big reason for this is the existence of Charlie Patino and Myles Lewis-Skelly at the club. These are two of our biggest Hale-Enders since Saka/ESR. Pointedly, Hale End's best are dependable/transformative quality. We know this. Patino to understudy Granit next year.

Another reason is the fact that we actually now run a double pivot for most games, not a single pivot anymore and Sambi is best for that.
Caicedo is a bigger talent but again unless we were selling Sambi, then no need.

Gotta keep the path clear for our homegrown stars. Unless it's on a free, no new midfielder should be joining the club until Xhaka leaves at the end of next season.
