Most people struggle to write consistently.
I went from NEVER posting online to now publishing 507 days in a row.
This simple 5 step system made sticking with it easy (despite wanting to give up hundreds of times):

Be Stupid
You need to stop thinking.
• Is this any good?
• What if this sucks?
• Maybe I should just quit...
Rational thought is the enemy of creation.
Instead, be irrationally optimistic that you'll make it.
Be "stupid" and start before you're "ready".
Don't think, act.

Stop Setting Goals
Instead, build systems:
✅ 2 threads / week
If you chase goals, there’s a chance you’ll fail.
If you set systems, you win every day.
Focus on output over outcome.

Suspend Judgement
Instead, focus on showing up daily & doing the work.
And each time, try to improve by 1%.
• Write faster
• Write clearer
• Write for longer
Here's something I remind myself of daily:
“I love this, I'm making progress."
Focus on progress over perfection.

The Antidote to Scarcity
Be grateful.
Everyday you show up, be grateful for:
• Bleeding for your dreams
• Beating who you were yesterday
• Beating everyone else who quit that day
Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today.

One Last Time
Sometimes, nothing works.
• No likes
• No views
• No engagement
For those times, breathe deep & say: "One last time."
• Remember the steps
• Write them on post-its
• Paste them on your wall
You cannot lose if you do not quit.

I'll wrap this up with this fantastic quote from @SPressfield:
"It’s not the writing part that’s hard. What’s hard is sitting down to write."

5 simple steps to finally unlock consistency:
• Be stupid - don't think, act
• Focus on output over outcome
• Focus on progress over perfection
• Choose gratitude over comparison
• Be the most stubborn b*stard you know
