Did you know Easter was primetime for burning Pagan women as witches in Europe. Even today Czechs & Swedes celebrate with a symbolic witch burning. At least 500,000 innocent Pagan women were tracked down to be tortured & burned by Christians during the Medieval Ages in Europe
It wasn’t Easter eggs that were being hunted but Pagan women. Entire manuals on how to track down, try, torture & execute “witches” were written down as a guide for regular Christians. Idol worship was punished with death. Pope John XXII himself sanctioned such Inquisitions.
Yet it is Hindus who are demonized for social practices like Sati which were in principle purely voluntary. Not a single Hindu book exists as a manual to track, hunt, or burn widows unlike the Witch Manuals of Christian Europe which were so popular that they ran into 20 editions
