hes right. no one in dmc5 is attractive
stop coping to make peace with the status quo lol there's a reason that anime bishonen/bishoujo neotenous stylization is gone and they look like american youtubers now
"you're just FACKING racist" shut up
yea that's a meme face I know but I thought the same with real moving footage. the irl person looks more like an anime character in the live action movie she's in than the ingame version
"horny is back on the menu boys"
you don't even get the kinda dudes women like cuz lumbersexual hipster dudes want to increase their sexual market value
women everywhere: we like kpop dudes and pretty anime bishonen and men that are noticeably masculine but handsome and have maybe some stubble or a mustache but otherwise shaven like jojo and otokojuku
diversity consultants: THA FREAKIN SEXYTIME BEARDARINOS!!!
captain jack sparrow is as far as it goes for fangirls and he ain't got a big full beard and doesn't look like a he/him twitter guy
they could have easily struck gold with a death note-ass angsty prettyboy there but nooope
and nico looks like she got death threats from gamers in 2012
ugly
seriously vergil is the worst how do you go from anime bishonen to "some guy"
this style would make sense for dead rising where the characters were more realistic and down to earth to begin with. frank west is meant to be "some guy", that's the point, but doing it for dmc is weird
no DMC isn't like that cuz of Anita but it is cuz of everyone going by modern US standards. Capcom could go from Dead Rising to DMC & both games' designs fit the tone. now even anatomy's gotta be realistic which makes everyone look less cool & superhuman (compare head-body ratio)
having big exaggerated bodies helps sell the exaggerated action. if you go from stylized anatomy to "regular guy" realism they just look wimpy
it's a good game lol but it's worth criticizing the new status quo; ppl get mad when games go too far with everyone looking like "relatable average people" but the obsession with photorealism over stylized idealism contributes to that & no one calls it out
DMC5 slowly boils the frog to ready it for more stuff like DmC (which came way too early so it made everyone angry - you gotta groom gamers to slowly accept the death of stylization & its replacement with "realistic relatability")
it's the Velma issue
