Cold outreach is a pain
And most people do it completely wrong
Here's how to do cold outreach that works
<|--THREAD--|>
// 1. OPTIMIZE YOUR PROFILE //
First and foremost -- optimize your profile to look professional
Create a nice banner, pfp, bio, and a nice pinned thread on your niche
You will have much more chances when your profile looks good
// 2. BUILD AN OFFER //
You can't go into someone's DMs without an offer
You should know what you are selling and how to present it
Otherwise you will kill the potential of your service/product
// 3. FIND PROSPECTS //
If you created an offer - you probably know your ideal client already
Now it's time to find this client
Where do they spend most of their time?
Instagram?
YouTube?
Twitter?
Go, type in your niche in the search bar, and look for ideal prospects
// 4. NARROW DOWN //
Create a list of 100-200 prospects
Narrow that list down to around 20-30 of the people you want to work with the most (otherwise, you will have no time)
Now it's time to warm them up
// 5. WARM UP //
Cold DMs are shitty and barely get any results
Just think about the last time you got a cold DM?
Did you at least read through it? I didn't
That's why you need to warm the prospect up, so you don't sound like Mr.X when you go into their DMs
// 5.2. SHOW THEM YOU CARE //
Warming up is simple
โ€ขFollow them
โ€ขEngage with their content for 5-7 days
This will make you noticed by the prospect and they will be much more likely to reply to you
// 6. DON'T SELL RIGHT AWAY //
It's time to slide into DMs
Here you can either:
โž™Tell them the problem they have and how to fix it
โž™Ask a genuine question you are curious about
Most importantly -- be friendly, don't sound salesy
// 6.2 BE A FRIEND //
If people see you're here just to sell -- they most probably won't even reply
The key is simple -- approach them like you would approach your friend
Clients will trust you more and will refer their friends to you as well
// 7. VALUE FIRST //
Everyone is always pitching the price and the service
You can do one easy trick to stand out - provide value first or offer a free project
This is exactly how I got my first client
It's the easiest way to get client's attention and make them interested
// IT TAKES TIME //
This whole process takes a lot of time
But isn't it worth spending this time increasing your chances of success rather than sending those cold DMs that get no response?
Think about that question
If you need any help with video editing -- feel free to shoot me a DM. I would love to help you out
And that's a wrap!
