A breakthrough in the world of AI
'Project Magi' is Google's next move in response to Bing and ChatGPT
Here's what you need to know:
Google is developing AI-powered search engine the Project Magi
It will be highly personalized
โ†’ Anticipating usersโ€™ needs
โ†’ Offering preselected options for transactions, research, and other tasks.
It will also have a more conversational approach, similar to ChatGPT.
But, the new search engine is still in its early stages of development, with a team working on it.
There is no official timeline for its release, but it shows Googleโ€™s ambitions to reinvent the search experience.
Exactly what we were expecting from Google
Meanwhile, Google is also enhancing its existing search engine with AI-based features under Project Magi.
This project aims to enable users to complete tasks directly within the search interface, such as
โ†’ Purchasing
โ†’ Scheduling
โ†’ Automated Tasks
Project Magi might be launched as early as next month for a select group of users.
It is being led by a team of over 160 Googlers who are working full time on adding novel features to Google Search.
โ†’ No clear timeline when it will be released for everyone.
There's this element included to the Google's Project Magi's drive, the risk of losing revenue if smartphone makers like Samsung or Apple switch to Bing as their default search engine.
โ†’ The countdown has begun.
It's important to keep in mind that
โ†’ Googleโ€™s Bard chatbot
failed to impress users once before, unlike ChatGPT and BingChat, which have far exceeded expectations.
โ†’ It wouldn't be easy for Google to outsmart its rivals.
