🧵🌶️ The Class Enemies of Liberty🌶️🧵
1/
(in memory of Tucker)
We have gone from the fastest growing era of history to one of the slowest, wages have stagnated for 50 years, kids will have worse standards of living than their parents.
This is not an accident.
2/
History never changed faster than ~1890-1950. Horses were replaced by cars, gas light by electric, flight went from a hopeless dream to a banality, Household labour requirements reduced 80+%... and a near infinite energy source was invented.
3/
Meanwhile the past 50 years have given us the Obesity epidemic, 2000 per month studio apartments, fentanyl, and Social Media.
“We wanted flying cars, instead we got 140 characters.” – Peter Thiel
4/
The Marxist economic critique utterly fails to explain this.
Our moments of greatest socio-economic improvement Coincided with Bourgeoise dominance and patriarchal titans of industry.
Say what you will about Ford, Edison, Rockefeller and Carnegie... they got results.
5/
Likewise the facist explanation: "Jewish" finance and globalization fails to explain this
The rise of turn of the 20th century "Jewish" finance coincided with our fastest development. The Belle Époque (1880-1914) was "the first era of globalization"
Financiers want returns!
6/
No "the Bourgeoise" and "the Jews", no matter how we might critique their tastes, are not to blame for this.
GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES are to blame for this.
In 1900 there were 231,000 federal government employees, there are now 2.85 million more than 10x the number.
7/
In 1900 it cost the equivalent of $109 (adjusted 1990 dollars) per person to maintain the federal government... by 1990 it cost $4760
And that's not including the costs of of mandates and regulation or anything passed since... no Obamacare, no Medicare part D, no patriot act
8/
But this is still understating problem.
Formal Feds peaked in ww2 and has been relatively still since* "Sorta"
But state and local has exploded
There are over 22 MILLION people working for some level of gov, 1/4 the entire US workforce! triple what it was in 1955
9/
What state and local programs have changed since 55 to need all of this? Can you name something state or local govs do now they didn't in the 50s/60s/70s?
Education, social outreach, homelessness, energy prices, psych services... all of these have dramatically gotten worse
10/
Even this however understates the problem!
What % of workers are at NGOs or university departments or "private/public partnerships" or defense or other gov contractors... who aren't officially government employees but who's jobs wouldn't exist without your tax dollars
11/
If you define "Communism" as a country where all workers work for or are paid by the government... then at minimum the US is 25% communist, probably closer to 50%.
12/
And we wonder why our economy is now routinely wracked by shortages. in food, housing, automobiles, energy, baby formula...
13/
Anyone who has interacted with any of these people: Federal, State, Local, Education Admin, NGO, Contractor... Knows that they don't really work... not like the real economy.
Most do maybe 8 hrs a week emails, and then waste time the other 32 hrs.
13/
But those 8hrs of "productivity" are the worse than all the other costs they impose...
In those 8 hrs a week they impose themselves on the productive parts of the economy that hasn't been consumed or taxed to death.
They justify their existence by wasting others time.
14/
They are the reason we haven't got flying cars. The reason we don't have near free energy. The reason housing, something goddamn beavers have figured out, is somehow being uninvented
And that reason is a specific group of people
Wait did I say "people"? I meant bureaucrats
15/
What is worse not only are they doing this, they are threatening you with IRS and SWAT teams if you resist to pay them for the privilege of having the future stolen from you
16/
Of the 20 richest counties in America
EIGHT! Fully 40%! Are the counties that Immediately ring Washington DC
17/
Its incredible for 150 years people have argued against Marx... and yet no one argued against his moral claim.
Sure cons argued Communism worked in theory but not in practice
While economists like Mises & Hayek showed very plainly it doesn't even work in theory...
18/
But the revolutionary moral claim: That if a class of people exists only to extract value from the populace and the productive parts of the economy... that that class is engaging in theft and slavery, and therefore must be destroyed.
No one actually argued against that.
19/
No one argued that if the Bourgeoise were truly doing what Marx said, that even then revolution, the confiscation of their wealth, and the destruction of their class would be unjustified.
It was obvious that a truly parasitic ruling class would demand destruction
20/
If property was theft. Revolution would be necessary.
Well... the same is true if "taxation is theft"
And unlike the Bourgeoise, who seem to be good & necessary everywhere, we have a great example of a society without the Bureaucrats:
1900 existed. They invented flight
21/
The Government bureaucrats and their state funded lackeys. These are people who deserve our class hatred. Whom we should send to work camps. These are the people who's property we should recognize as stolen and confiscate without compensation.
they've been doing it to us
22/
"Robber Barons" and Financiers are necessary to build great industry and invention, government bureaucracy is not
If we are to have an economy that produces the lives Americans once expected to only improve, we must crush the class of people destroying that wealth
23/
The libertarian party has a motto "Liberty in our lifetime"
But merely getting political power could take a lifetime... and how do you reorganize an entire socio-economic system once you get it?
Marx and Lenin successfully answered both questions:
Class War
24/
Let us vow nothing but emnity and ruin to the class enemies of liberty. Let us open our hearts to the deepest recesses and welcome hatred into them.
The 8 counties around DC are the richest in America... Lets turn them into Detroit. Hell, lets turn them into Silent Hill.
