2. As @thackerpd shared moments ago, a former Twitter employee, named Elizabeth Busby sent an email to her colleagues on June 24, 2021 to see if they could action a tweet for Covid-19 misinformation for a URL that linked to an Op-Ed written by Tucker Carlson referencing the WHO.
3. The initial request that started the email chain discussing whether to flag an Op-Ed written by Tucker Carlson came from a (now former) Twitter employee named, Elizabeth Busby. Since Twitter noted that flagging a Fox News link had “political risks,”it’s worth noting that…
4. …prior to Busby working at Twitter, she herself had a political career history. Her prior job before starting at Twitter as a “Policy Communications Manager,” Busby was working as a Deputy National Press Secretary in the U.S. Senate for Senator Chuck Schumer, according to…
5. Given that Schumer has been very outspoken publicly about his disdain for Tucker Carlson over the years, it does seem noteworthy that the request to flag Carlson came from Schumer’s former press secretary.
6. That being said, the other relevant players who seemed to factor into to this whole ordeal was the World Health Organization. Their actions, although seemed to be quietly played out at the time—doesn’t look good.
