When hoodhboyists & secularists tell you that al-Ghazali (r) caused the decline in the intellectual sciences in the Muslim world.
Just ask them this simple Q:
"What "ACADEMIC" books did you read that informed you on this opinion?"
Here are the possible answers you can expect:
1/
1: I can say with surety, they'll mention the book written by Hoodbhoy, who is not even an academic historian on the subject, who doesn't even know whether Al-Ghazali was Persian or Arab. (Pic 2) Who even fails to pronounce the name of Harun al-Rashid in another video.
2/
2: They will talk about the famous Neil de Grasse Tyson video, where he basically says the same thing ie Ghazali caused the decline in the intellectual sciences.
3/
3: They'll most likely point to the numerous videos of Hoodhboy where he says the EXACT thing verbatim. Yet, somehow, hoodhboy still manages to confuse Ibn Sina and Ibn Rushd and can't figure out the ethnicity of Al-Ghazali, his arch-nemesis (in his fantasy that is. Ghazali-

-is an intellectual giant compared to this midget).

But again, the Q is not answered. Which ACADEMIC book written by a scholar have they read that informed them of their opinion?
All of the above "sources," which they usually present, are nonsense.
What happened to intellectual credibility, hoodhboyists?
6/
4: Or you may expect this video by muzzammil, who basically reshes the exact same nonsense WITHOUT EVER CITING A SOURCE. Not once has he cited a source for any of the claims he has made in this video. He claims that a Muslim scientist was beaten till he got blind.
7/
He was referring to Al-Razi (8th century), the metaphysician, not the 12th century theologian (Fakhr ad din Al-Razi)
But again, where is the source?
