In reading The Future Of Geography by @Itwitius (Space Travel and Space Wars ARE HERE NOW IN REALITY), I can only imagine the next phase of humanity MUST SURELY be interplanetary.
@harari_yuval describes in the book Sapiens how human society progressed with the discovery of language and technology: small groups of hunter gatherers โก larger agricultural communities (machinery) โก larger nations (conquest) โก the world (cyberspace) โก outer space
The logical next step should be that we unite in a single Earth Order, with one currency (#Bitcoin?), one authority, one army. How else would we defend Earth - if aliens invade Russia, is US gonna sit back and chuckle while the enemy is replaced by an even more threatening one?
And if we manage to harvest valuable rare minerals from asteroids, the moon and other planets, isnโt it more efficient that by default we use it to advance Earthโs civilization as quickly as possible, instead of fighting over whether the US, China or Russia has claim?
Yes, for sure we will be One Earth. If not by agreement then by war. It is inevitable.
