After answering questions for more than 6 hours, Warren Buffett (92) and Charlie Munger (99) received a standing ovation at the latest AGM.
You could feel the passion every time they answered a question.
Here are 8 lessons of Charlie Munger I'll never forget:
1. The safest way to try and get what you want is to try and deserve what you want
2. A lot of success in life and business comes from knowing what you want to avoid
3. The success of Berkshire Hathaway came by making about two key decisions per year for 60 years
4. Early on, write your desired obituary – and then try to figure out a way to live up to it
5. Envy, resentment, revenge, and self-pity are disastrous modes of thought. Self-pity will never improve any situation
6. Life works better with a seamless web of deserved trust. There is huge pleasure in life to be obtained from earning it
7. The world is overwhelmingly short-term focused. If you have even a slight tendency to defer gratification, you are on the way to prosperity
8. A few major opportunities in life will usually come to one who continually searches and waits with a curious mind
That's it for today.
Over the years, I've compiled everything I could possibly find about Charlie Munger.
Everything was mapped in 1 PDF (> 1.000 pages).
