Looks like Google Scholar is going to die soon.
I just got access to Elicit beta, an AI-powered search engine for academic research.
It's like (ChatGPT + Google Scholar) x 10.
And totally FREE!
Here's how Elicit will revolutionize the way we search academic literature:
Look something up in Google Scholar and it will give you a list of search results based on matching keywords. That's it.
I look up "self management of back pain."
Google Scholar give me a list of papers with these words in them.
When you look up something in Elicit, it doesn't just match keywords.
It
1. Selects most relevant papers out of thousands of papers
2. Finds the concept in each of the selected papers
3. Removes duplicate concepts
4. Sorts those concepts by relevance
and...
...generates a table for you that contains:
1. Concepts related to your search
2. Summaries of papers in which those concepts were found
3. Links to those papers
All this in a matter of second 🤯
If you want to read a paper, simply click on it.
You don't have to download it. Elicit will open it for you in a new window.
Now you can read the paper, and if you find anything difficult you can simply ask Elicit to explain it.
