I'm not sure whether Indian/Chinese/Portuguese are always quick to use English names.
Personally, when I tell people to address me by my native name and they tell me it's hard to say and I should give them an English name, I say NO.

like Igbo and I have some people especially market women who speak Igbo to me when they see me. I always ask them to interpret.
If I see anyone type using Igbo here, I try to check the comment section for the interpretation or copy and paste on Google to get the interpretation.S
