As Muslims, we believe that Allah is the Creator and Sustainer of everything. He knows what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen. He has a perfect plan and wisdom for everything that He decrees.
Sometimes we may face difficulties, challenges, or uncertainties in our lives. We may feel anxious, worried, or stressed about the future. We may wonder why things are happening the way they are, and what will happen next.
In these situations, we should remember that Allah is the best of planners, and He does not burden us with more than we can bear. He tests us to purify us, to increase our faith, and to reward us. He is the most merciful and the most compassionate.
One of the ways to cope with our worries and fears is to leave the future in the hands of Allah. This means to trust Him completely, to rely on Him fully, and to submit to Him wholeheartedly.
Tawakkul does not mean that we do not take any action or responsibility for our affairs. It means that we do our best according to our abilities and circumstances, and then we leave the outcome to Allah. We accept whatever He wills for us with patience and gratitude.
Tawakkul also does not mean that we do not have any hopes or aspirations for the future. It means that we have positive expectations from Allah, and we ask Him for the best in this world and the next. We do not limit His generosity or power by our own limitations.
Tawakkul is a source of peace and tranquility for the believer. It frees us from anxiety and stress, and fills us with confidence and optimism. It strengthens our relationship with Allah, and increases our reliance on Him alone.
Tawakkul is also a sign of faith and worship. It shows that we acknowledge Allahβs lordship and sovereignty over everything. It shows that we love Him more than anything else, and we seek His pleasure above all else. It shows that we are His true servants and followers.
Tawakkul is a beautiful quality that Allah loves and rewards. He says in the Quran: βAnd whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him.β [65:3] He also says: βAnd put your trust in Allah; and enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.β [Quran 33:3]
May Allah grant us all tawakkul in our hearts, and make us among those who trust Him in every situation. May He make us content with His decree, and grant us the best in this world and the next. Ameen
