Vasco De Gama didn't just mutilate the Brahmin messenger, he tied him up, tortured him with an iron shovel full of burning embers on his legs till his skin blistered & bled, cut off his lips till his teeth showed, cut off his ears & had a dog's ears stitched on to his head.
