“IT’S OK”
(The Ultimate Tribute…She Lives On)
Her audition on AGT 2021 broke the internet after she performed an original song titled “It’s Ok” whilst fighting cancer.
3 times she was declared cancer free, 3 times cancer came back worse, she was divorced by her husband and later lost the battle to cancer.
But clearly her impact touched the world and she truly lives on.

In September 2017, Jane Marczeeski was first diagnosed with breast cancer (Stage 2).
Stage 2 Breast Cancer means the cancer cells have spread from the original location to the surrounding breast tissues but has not spread to a distant body part.
She made a post saying “I will 100% live through it, God and I have plans for my life and I will live them out.”
She came home for a family dinner after completing her chemotherapy.
Everyone was wearing a hat, they removed it and she saw they had all gone bald to show support.
On March 27th 2018, she beat breast cancer as she was declared “CANCER FREE”.
She had 2 of her breasts removed, 3 lymph nodes and had 6 weeks of radiotherapy.
Radiotherapy is a type of cancer treatment that uses beams of intense energy to kill cancer cells.
All these was done just to make sure the cancer doesn’t return but it did come back.
On April 2018 barely a month after being declared “Cancer Free” and this time it was aggressive as she needed surgery to remove it.
But even with the turn of events, Jane’s faith wasn’t moved.
She made a post saying
“Let’s join together as a family and army to send cancer to hell, send all your prayers and love and get ready for goodness soon”.
On July 2018, she beat cancer again as she was declared “CANCER FREE” yet again making her a 2 time cancer survivor.
But on New Year’s Eve of 2019, Jane discovered she had a large number of tumors in her liver, lungs and spine but she wasn’t sure if they were cancerous.
“Pray for these tumors to dissolve, Jesus heals today”, she made another post on IG after finding out about the tumors.
Her doctors discovered they were cancerous and gave her 3-6 months to live.
And as if it couldn’t get any worse, her husband of 5years, Jeremy told her, he doesn’t love her anymore and asked for a divorce.
But Jane never lost her faith in God and still believed she won’t die.
“Whatever your battle is, you can win too that is why I’m here, I’m here to tell you there is a way through” as she beat the 6months mark the doctors gave her.
On February, 2020, Jane relocated to Los Angeles to continue her cancer treatment thanks to the money donated online.
On July 2020, she was finally declared “CANCER FREE” for the 3rd time and this time for good according to her doctors.
She decided to enter the “America’s Got Talent” with the name “NightBirdie”, a name she said she dreamt about twice meaning “Singing through the darkness”.
She did an original song titled “It’s Ok” and told them her struggles with cancer.
The judges were emotional especially Simon after she made the quote “You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy”.
Simon didn’t say yes but hit the golden buzzer.
She was sent straight to the semifinals thanks to Simons golden buzzer.
The singer who still had only 2% chance of living had her song “It’s Ok” top the ITunes chart at no.1 and no.4 globally as an independent artist.
Everything looked all good until few weeks later 🥹🥹🥹🥹
She announced she would be dropping out of this years AGT to focus on her health as it had taken a turn for the worse.
There is a statement she made that showed her faith and audacity.
“I’m planning my future, not my legacy”
She refused to give up her fight against cancer easily.
When she was given 2% chance of living, she smiled and said “2% is not zero percent, 2% is something”
And she kept on fighting until she lost her fight against cancer on the 19th, February 2022 aged 31.
If only she knew the impact her song, “IT’S OK” made outside raking in millions in dollars, it truly inspired the world.
And just this week, a South African choir, “Msanzi Youth Choir” remixed her song, “IT’S OK” when they auditioned for the AGT and no eyes was left dry especially that of Simon, he couldn’t hold it.
They ended up getting not just a standing ovation but made history by becoming the first act to get a GOLDEN BUZZER decided by the audience and given by all the judges.
It was emotional…
And hey fam, brighten up, loosen those squeezed face muscles because it doesn’t make the situation lighter or make the troubles go away.
When life gives you a thousand reasons to cry, show life you have a thousand reasons to smile.
No matter what you’re going through at the moment, I just want you to know, IT’S OK!!!
TRUST GOD ALWAYS BECAUSE HE NEVER FAILS!!!
Happy New Month 🙏🙏🙏
