everything about this case is so strange. including details not widely reported. when you go through the narrative it just starts to crumble. he’s moving around new york, all over, on 9/11, just everywhere. too much. abcnews.go.com
you’ll never convince me there’s not something off here. i dunno what, it could be something relatively inconsequential.
he’s working at a “construction site in lower manhattan” when the towers are hit. he goes home, somewhere out toward the rockaways, im going off memory rn. then he doubles back to an employment office, intera, in benson-hurst.
the owner of intera, her husband was in the towers and it’ll turn out he died. but there’s also, indeed, an employment office in the wtc called intera. but it’s only for software jobs.
the employment office intera in benson-hurst — related or unrelated to the employment office intera in the wtc, i dunno — assigns him to some job way out toward crown heights doing overnight janitorial work at a small supermarket.
intera shares its small second-floor space in a low-slung two-story benson-hurst building with a weather instruments company, by the way. so, ok.
both these companies i believe had either replaced or will be replaced in the space by an elevator consultant. anyway.
he goes home again! and he gets advice from landlord about how to find this grocery store he’s supposed to be cleaning the night of 9/11. fine. but then he ends up taking a subway line to my stop utica, which is so far off he wanted to go. and there was confusion i guess.
he’s supposed to meet somebody for the job who will be waiting for him in a car outside the grocery store. ok. kinda weird. but now he’s miles away. not a great area at that time, at that time of night. could be just a random killing. he’s stalked, there’s an argument, he’s shot.
he drags himself to the stoop of 119 decatur and dies there. it’s unsolved and nobody in this area talks about it. everytime the police or reporters try to pry information out of people, nothing. maybe one witness has talked. it’s the only non-wtc homicide in ny on 9/11.
note that he’s so mobile on 9/11. he’s going from lower manhattan to the far reaches of brooklyn, then to benson-hurst, then back to his apartment in the far reaches of brooklyn, then to — the middle of nowhere as far as he’s concerned. it’s all very weird. and unsolved.
