In Liberal political philosophy, "person" is a central category based on which the theory of justice is formulated.
But this "person" is devoid of any content, whether its ethnicity or history. The "person" is an abstract void cypher that, according to libs, we supposedly-

have in common. But that's an assumption that has no referent in reality.
According to Liberalism, humans are fundamentally persons with contingent relationships and histories. But this is opposed to reality where humans are primarily constituted by their communities/histories

Alasdair MacIntyre has insightfully critiqued Liberalism for not having a coherent understanding of goodness. Instead, Liberalism's understanding of good is privatised to the individual who decided what's best for him. Whatever the person decides is ultimately good for him and

that's justice. We live in a marketplace of ideas where individuals buying stuff knows very well what exactly they want. And getting whatever they want will make them happy. All of this are the assumptions and principles of Liberaliam and its understanding of good & justice.
