personally dislike him bc of his penchant for skinny ties and tiny shirt collars
your tie should be roughly the same width as your lapel and your shirt's collar points should be long enough to tuck under your jacket's front edges (pics 1 and 2). if you're wearing a button-down collar, as RFK does, then it should have a nice roll (pics 3 and 4)
This thread is bringing up the old debate about whether you can wear a button-down collar with a tie. Perhaps it's verboten for Europeans, but for Americans, I've never understood the controversy. The combo has a long history in American dress. Still worn today by better dressers
