1/x. Been a while since I did a Pharma Reveal thread! Let me show you how doctors are SURGICALLY indoctrinated by Pharma. The keyword here is “SURGICAL”. Look at the short “insider pharma training” video in the next thread.
2/x. You see whenever a Pharma rep visits a doctor, there are HUNDREDS of data points that we use to convince the doc to prescribe our drugs. All these come in the form of “peer reviewed studies” - we translate them into very nice slides instead of going through wordy studies
3/x. All these slides are translated into an App (90% of Pharma Sales Rep across all Big Pharma uses this app) . Whenever we present a slide to a doctor, the doctors reaction is captured “discreetly”. Listen to the trainer explain it
4/x. So, a doctor may say something like, this study is really small with less than 100 subjects. Base on the doctor’s reaction, the Pharma Sales Rep clicks on the red button discreetly. It tags a “negative” response on this specific doctor on the specific slide
5/x. In the back office, all data are compiled. We know *exactly* which doctor responded negatively to the *exact* slide. If this doctor is someone important (say he has lots of influence over other doctors ie department head), the case gets escalated
6/x. Escalation comes in many forms. Sometimes we simply invite them to more “luxury conferences”, or maybe send a more attractive rep. Jokes aside - every case is treated differently. Sometimes we use their influencer map (we know who influences the doctor)
7/x. Heres a screenshot on the influncer map - we know who their bosses are, their colleagues, etc. We also know who has “strong influence” or “weak influence”. Sometimes all you need is to work with their influencer to change their perception/behaviour.
8/x. With a combination of influencers, luxurious medical conferences, a couple of random gifts, and bombarding them with “peer reviewed” studies, eventually they give in. Otherwise just complain to the regulators that they are misinformation spreaders! Easy!
9/x. If you haven’t watch how to manipulate peer review studies watch this clip too!
10/x If you learned something from this please like & share! also visit my pinned tweet for all my pharma reveals or visit my s-stack!
11. One more thing that I forgot to mention. We capture doctor’s reaction this way to avoid capturing “adverse reactions”. You can imagine how many adverse reactions are captured if the app allows “free text”…
Most of the time “free text” inputs are disabled to prevent reps from inputting AEs (in case some audit finds out)
Some sample pharma gifts for doctors in case you are interested
