Yesterday was the last day of my internship at @EzaNezaRwanda. I can't believe six months have flown by just like that!
I remember the very first day in January when I walked into the greenhouse, not knowing what to expect from greenhouse farming of strawberries under hydroponics
👇👇
This experience has exceeded my expectations, as I have truly enjoyed every moment for six months in @Muhangadis.
During my internship at Eza Neza, I had several learning objectives, which I successfully achieved.
👇👇
My internship objectives included operating irrigation equipment in the greenhouse, mixing hydroponic nutrients, scouting for pests and diseases, conducting research about strawberry and vertical farming methods, coordinating sales and distribution of strawberries, and acquiring technical skills in greenhouse design.
Overall, I have successfully achieved my learning objectives during my internship at Eza Neza. By actively engaging in various tasks and collaborating with fellow interns, I have gained valuable practical knowledge and skills in greenhouse operations, hydroponic farming, pest control, research, sales coordination, and greenhouse design, which I believe will be fundamental in my future endeavors.

In April 2023, I started a project on EVALUATING STRAWBERRY YIELD IN VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL HYDROPONIC FARMING SYSTEMS" as a part of my internship responsibilities
👇👇
I have explored various approaches to increasing yield and improving farming practices by utilizing different research techniques and methodologies. This research expanded my technical knowledge and enabled me to contribute valuable insights to the organization's ongoing innovation and development efforts.
👇👇
Beyond the technical aspects of farming, I have also utilized my knowledge of marketing and sales. I have actively promoted strawberries through social media platform and coordinated their distribution to the market

By now, I felt like a valuable team member with relevant tasks and assignments that have enhanced my Agriculture experience. I have many mixed emotions about this journey coming to an end.
👇👇
Happiness: I am happy that I received valuable learning opportunities with passionate team members from MD @iQuitNot, Eza Neza staff, and my fellow interns such as @El_Mugisha03 and Simeon UMUNYEMPUHWE MUSABENDE.
Sadness: I am sad that this journey must come to an end. However, the end often leads to the beginning of other opportunities that I want to explore, especially in agriculture and building @speke_farms
Excitement and Curiosity: I am excited to enter the next step of my agribusiness career path and curious to see what is out there in this field.

I want to thank Samuel Nshutiyayesu. I am lucky to have had him as my internship and career Advisor during the internship. I will miss Eza Neza family. I am glad that I shared my journey with them, but I hope that I will be able to cross paths with everyone again in the future.
End .
