AWB is another David DeGea in waiting.
Both having standout traits[Reflexive saves/1v1 defending] that led to them being overrated[severely in DDG's case] but being average/poor in other aspects of the game.
Casual fans have now just seen DDG's true worth and have harshly
vilified him for that,AWB's Man United arc might go down the same route; falling from Fan favorite to Villain.
If AWB doesn't improve his game and become a more rounded player, he & the club should find exit solutions while his value is still up, but let's give it 1 more szn😇.
Having AWB as the right-wide player in a back 3 in-possession is a much better use of his skillset, asking him to occupy the inside-channel and be a receiver between the lines is going to limit him & the team and that is exactly what EtH requires of his RB. He's a bad fit at his
present level until he improves and becomes more rounded, simple as that.
I'm not one for stats-based analysis but for the Dalot/AWB comparisons, here's something for your thoughts.
Watch EVERYTHING a player does not just the eye-catching actions, it'll help you see clearer.
Here is a report on young FBs that I think are better tactical fits for the RB role.
