What The Prophet PBUH said about envy:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) spoke extensively about envy and its harmful effects on individuals and society. In Islamic teachings, envy is known as "hasad" and is considered a major sin.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is reported to have said: "Beware of envy, for it devours good deeds just as fire devours wood or as rust destroys iron." (Sunan Abu Dawud)
He also said: "Envy is justified in two cases: a man whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it in the right way, and a man whom Allah has given wisdom and he acts according to it and teaches it to others." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also warned against the dangers of envy and its negative impact on individuals and society. He said: "Envy is a disease that destroys good deeds just as fire destroys wood." (Sunan Ibn Majah)
