Descriptions of Jannah from Quran and Hadith under this tweet:
The greatest blessing in Jannah is to receive Allah's pleasure and mercy, and to see His face.
Allah says: "But the greatest bliss is the good pleasure of Allah. That is the supreme felicity." (Quran 9:72)
The Prophet (PBUH) said:
Allah says: "But the greatest bliss is the good pleasure of Allah. That is the supreme felicity." (Quran 9:72)
The Prophet (PBUH) said:
"The most beloved thing with which My servant comes nearer to Me, is what I have enjoined upon him; and My servant keeps on coming closer to Me through performing Nawafil (praying or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) till I love him, so..
..I become his sense of hearing with which he hears, and his sense of sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he grips, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks Me,..
... I will give him, and if he asks My protection (Refuge), I will protect him; (i.e. give him My Refuge) and I do not hesitate to do anything as I hesitate to take the soul of the believer, for he hates death, and I hate to disappoint him." (Sahih Bukhari)
The people of Jannah will also enjoy the company of the righteous ones, such as the prophets, the martyrs, the truthful, and the pious. Allah says:
"All who obey Allah and the Messenger, then they will be in the company of those on whom Allah has bestowed His Grace, of the Prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs, and the righteous. And how excellent these companions are!" (Quran 4:69)
Jannah is described as a vast garden with rivers flowing beneath it. It contains beautiful mansions, springs, fruits, shade, and greenery. Allah says:
"But give glad tidings to those who believe and work righteousness, that their portion is gardens, beneath which rivers flow" (Quran 2:25)
"Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a garden whose width is that (of the whole) of the heavens and of the earth" (Quran 3:133)
The people of Jannah will have abundant food and drink that will never cause them any harm or boredom. They will eat fruits, meats, and whatever they desire. They will drink from rivers of pure water, milk, wine and honey. Allah says:
"They will have therein fruits (of all kinds) and all that they ask for." (Quran 36:57) "Therein are rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine delicious to those who drink; and rivers of honey pure and clear." (Quran 47:15)
7/ The people of Jannah will wear fine garments of silk and brocade, adorned with pearls and gold. They will be with their spouses, happy and tranquil. Allah says:
"They will wear green garments of fine silk and heavy brocade. They will be adorned with bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give them a pure drink." (Quran 76:21)
"And among His Signs is this that He created for you mates from among yourselves that you may dwell in tranquility with them and He has put love and mercy between your hearts..." (Quran 30:21)
The people of Jannah will be greeted by angels with words of peace and salutation. They will not hear any evil or sinful speech in Jannah. They will only hear good words and praises of Allah. Allah says:
"And angels shall enter unto them from every gate (with the salutation): Peace be unto you for that you persevered in patience! Now how excellent is the final home!" (Quran 13:23-24)
"They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin - Only a saying: Peace! Peace!" (Quran 56:25-26)
This is just a glimpse of what Jannah has to offer for the believers. No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what Allah has prepared for them. Allah says:
"No person knows what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do." (Quran 32:17)
May Allah grant us all Jannah and save us from the Hellfire. Ameen.
