Hospitality skills — and I do just mean the most basic “how do you make people feel when they enter your space?” skills — are, I think, underrated.
And hospitality skills are distinct from how “nice” a given place is. Small-town churches can rival even the best 5-star hotel, or fanciest restaurant in this regard.
Working through this thought, but I’ve been inspired by two very different events:
- @CapitalCamp by @Clayton_Dorge, @BrentBeshore, and @patrick_oshag, which is probably the best conference I’ve ever been to
- & brunch at @ciaomack’s, where she made bespoke meals for everyone

Now I’m curious: what are the best examples of hospitality that you’ve experienced? What made them special?
