When I was at Goldman Sachs, I was stuck, experiencing:
- Long working hours
- No upskilling
- No creativity
369+ days later, I’m here now.
I'm building my online business
My journey from being broke to supporting my parents 🧵👇
#1: The pain
I used to work for 10 - 12+ hours at Goldman Sachs.
I work for 6 - 8 hours now.
The only difference between the two is having the independence to choose what to work from.
#2: The goodbye.
I quit my job on 8th April 2022.
I started seriously building my online business in October 2022.
I spent six months ideating what to build.
#3: Dumb startup
April 2022: I decided to build an AI+Gaming startup in the ed-tech domain.
Spoke to many founders.
Realised that I did not want to go for VC funding, and that I should bootstrap it.

#4: Online business.
September 2022: Learned about indie hacking and ghostwriting on Twitter.
Got into both.
Quit ghostwriting because my digital products made money.
I’ve shared other ways you can monetize your brand.
#5: Hustle
I hustled like a madman.
Posted a digital product every week on Product Hunt.
Tried to get into the Top 3 every time.
Worked for 16 - 18 hours daily.
Instead of hustling, you must do the following:
#6: Stability
I burned out. Got hospitalized.
Made my digital product business stable.
I realized that work-life balance matters.
Here are some mistakes you must avoid:
#7: Supporting parents
I helped my dad retire.
He has time to take care of his health now.
#8: Goal ahead
