1. Firstly you must construct a good house for your chickens. Know the size of the house you will need and how many chickens can it carry. The house should be contracted so that no rats/ birds can enter it.
2. Know the ratio of feeders and drinkers for your chickens. Eg one feeder can feed 10 to 15 chickens and 1 drinker can accommodate up to 20 chickens.
3. Inside the barn, you must put bedding. Normally we use wood shavings which help to make sure that the house is dry and easy to clean.
4. It is advisable to start with small batch of 100 chicks ๐ฃ for you to learn how poultry farming is done. In this farming, we learn from each batch since every batch tell its own story๐.
5. Broiler chicken fully grow in 6-7weeks. 100 chickens consume approximately 7-8 bags of feeds. Your feed supplies will give you the guide in order to know what and how to feed your chickens. You need to prepare the cost of feeds , water , medication and labor.
6. Once your chicken tech 4 weeks , you should start to market them. Reach out to @speke_farms , they will help you to find customers. When your chickens reach 6 weeks, sell them as soon as possible because after that they will eat additional feeds which will add unnecessaryโฆ
