While Yamuna reclaims its territory, the only road still open is an elevated road stretch to Sarai Kale Khan on Meerut Expressway, which is extremely jam packed, as all of the vehicles are on this stretch.

With East Delhi set to become the Chicken neck of Delhi, another one metre rise in Yamuna level will cut off these areas from the Delhi Mainland automatically, and the only option available would be, lifeline of Delhi - Metro, which is already running more than its capacity.
Last time in 1978, Yamuna gave the warning, but this is surely a trailer, and the movie is awaited, if we don't think about it. Illegal encroachments, ever increasing hike in cars, and non stop construction over Yamuna flood plans, all would result in another Uttarakhand or HP.
