{🧵} - Hanbalīs who are Mushrikīn by Ijmā'
In the past few months, many “Hanbalīs” (Wahhābīs in disguise) have been telling me that Istighāthah is Shirk by Ijmā' (Ijmā' of Khawārij), so let us see who are Mushrikīn based off of this.
1. al-Imām al-Tūfī al-Hanbalī رحمه الله
2. al-Imām al-Qutb al-Yūnīnī al-Hanbalī رحمه الله
3. al-Imām al-Khalwatī al-Hanbalī رحمه الله
4. al-Imām al-Surramarrī al-Hanbalī رحمه الله
5. al-Imām 'Abd al-Bāqī al-Hanbalī رحمه الله
6. al-Imām al-Sarsarī al-Hanbalī رحمه الله
7. al-Imām Ibn Badrān al-Hanbalī رحمه الله
8. al-Imām al-Saffārīnī al-Hanbalī رحمه الله
9. al-Imām Ibn al-Jawzī al-Hanbalī رحمه الله
If one says that Ibn al-Jawzī did Tashaffu' not Istighāthah, I respond in 2 ways:
1. No one literally seeks help from the Prophet ﷺ. Intercession is what any Muslim means.
2. Ibn al-Jawzī said "be an intercessor for me" unlike most Hanbalīs who said "I have come مستشفعا".....
...Which the Wahhābiyyah do Tahrīf of by saying "they don't mean I ask you for intercession, they just mean I have come interceding as in through your Jāh."
They do not know that إخبار can be of the meaning of طلب
They also do not know that Hanābilah like al-Khalwatī understood it to be literal seeking intercession as he said "اشفع لي يا شفيع الأمة"
Let alone the fact that Ibn al-Jawzī said this as a غائب unlike al-Khalwatī.
And if I were to mention the Hanābilah that mentioned what al-'Utbī narrated (مستشفعًا بك), they would Ta'wīl it, so I left it for argument's sake
ولله الحمد
والصلاة والسلام على شفيعنا محمد
They do this Tahrīf as seeking intercession is also Shirk Akbar for them, and this is clear from Wahhābī commentators on Hanbalī books that mention "مستشفعًا بك" and whatnot.
والله أعلم

11. al-Imām Mustafā al-Shattī al-Hanbalī رحمه الله
