How to find a thumbnail and title with high views potential, without looking like a copycat ๐Ÿ‘‡:
โœ… Step 1: Find a channel outside of your niche that still relates to it.
Example Niche:
- Marketing
- Related Niches:
- Productivity
- Self-help
- Sales
- Crypto
- Finance
โœ… Step 2: Either click โ€œmost popularโ€ and look for any titles that have performed very well or look at their most recent videos and keep an eye out for any that have performed above average for that channel.
โœ… Step 3: Pick a title that worked and simply change the words.
Example: โ€œ10 Scalping Rules Iโ€™ve Learned From 13 Years Of Tradingโ€
Result: โ€œ10 Marketing Rules Iโ€™ve Learned From 13 Years in Businessโ€
โœ… Step 4: Look for power words/patterns.
Now check out more of the top-performing videos and see if there are any words or patterns in their thumbnails that are associated with more views.
Example: โ€œThis changed everythingโ€
โœ… Step 5: Think about what you could visually show that can relate to โ€œthis changed everythingโ€; ideally, we want to show something that makes the viewer think:
- What is that?
- Why did that change everything?
- How do I do that too?
If you research more channels in your niche and the wider niche, over time youโ€™ll start to understand what the patterns are that bring in the views.
By combining higher-performing titles with high-performing thumbnails from different niches and channels, you'll harness what works without looking like a copycat.
That's a wrap!
