I pretended to be a woman on the internet for 30 days and made an extra $14,500 from men because of it.
Here’s the story:

A little background:
My name is Casey and I do over $1 Million a year in sales across Amazon, eBay and other platforms.
I run a Discord community of almost 1,000 other ecommerce sellers where I help others do the same.

Also, while there’s some clickbait being used in that first tweet (specifically suggesting that all my new revenue came from men), that number is technically true.
Follow to the end for the breakdown of the numbers.

Anyway, I tweeted this in October.
I saw another account - @SCHIZO_FREQ do something similar and was curious if he was a one-off.
I decided I would give it one month of tweeting the SAME EXACT tweets I have been for the past few months.
Copy/paste and see if any difference.

The revenue from my paid community increased by about $14,500, compared to October.
While I won’t reveal the exact numbers, here’s the breakdown:
- $8k in additional memberships
- $6,500 in revenue related/tangential to the community
A bit of intellectual honesty below ⬇️

There’s no way to tell how much of this was driven by the new profile pic.
I, objectively, run one of the best reselling Discord groups.
Quarter 4 is huge for e-commerce, so there was lots of interest.
Our momentum was big before the new pic.
We can’t know what’s what.

For all we know, the uptick KickFlips saw at the end of October was just catching fire and, if I didn’t change the pic, it could have grown the same or even faster.
Claiming to know exactly the magnitude of the effect of this profile pic is far beyond my pay grade.

That said, it feels tough to deny that having a cute girl as my profile pic - a pic I paid for a commercial license to use (nobody can sue me) - had a substantial impact on my social media following and business.
My tweets had statistically significant more engagement

So what’s the thesis?
There’s literally none. I’m not making a statement. I just thought this would be funny.
Also, it appears that you WILL get more attention online (both positive and negative) being an attractive woman.
If you want to grow your business… maybe try it 🤷🏽♂️
