FIXTURES
Arsenal
Arsenal start with 3 nice fixtures against Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and Fulham.
They also play Everton and Bournemouth in their first 7.
Bukayo Saka (£8.5m) is by far the best pick due to his minutes security and he’s the penalty taker.
Other strong options include Gabriel (£5.0m), Saliba (£5.0m), Martinelli (£8.0m) and Ødegaard (£8.5m).
Man United
United start strong with Wolves at home and Nottingham Forest at home in their first 3.
They also face Burnley and Crystal Palace in their first 7.
Bruno Fernandes looks incredible value at just £8.5m along with Rashford at £9.0m.
Højlund at £7.0m will also become an option when he’s fully fit and integrated.
New signing Onana is priced at £5.0m and could be a cheap way into the United defence.
Brighton
Arguably, Brighton start the strongest with Luton, Wolves and West Ham as their first 3 fixtures.
Although it does get more difficult after these 3 with Newcastle and Brighton in GWs 4 and 5.
Estupiñán is a very popular pick in defence at just £5.0m.
Brighton also have many cheap attackers with Mitoma and March at £6.5m each and João Pedro at £5.5m.
Chelsea
Chelsea play Liverpool in GW1 but go on a lovely run from GW3 onwards of Luton, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth.
Despite the tough GW1 fixture, it’s sensible to start with at least one of their players so you don’t have to use transfers on them from GW3.
Chilwell and James, both £5.5m, offer a nice route into their defence with some attacking threat too.
It looks like Colwill (£4.5m) will start the season at CB with Badiashile injured.
Jackson’s (£7.0m) minutes may also be more favourable now that Nkunku is injured for a while.
STRUCTURE
The most popular formations I have seen are 3-4-3 and 3-5-2.
This is to maximise the midfield and forward options.
The key decision for the structure of your team is whether you want Kane or Salah to accompany Haaland.
This will determine what other options you can look at in the midfield and forward spots.
If you want Kane or Salah, it will force you to choose cheaper players in the other areas.

Jackson £7.0m
Wissa £6.0m
João Pedro £5.5m
CAPTAINCY
Haaland
He’s the obvious pick given that he plays Burnley.
However, it’s away from home and City have a European final midweek so his minutes may be managed.
Saka
Arsenal’s fixture against Forest is arguably better than City’s as it is at home.
Saka is the best pick from the Arsenal attack as he is the penalty taker and will likely play close to 90 minutes as mentioned earlier.
Rashford
If you wanted to go for a slightly differential captain then I would look at United’s fixture at home to Wolves.
There is not too much between Rashford and Bruno, however, the former is likely to be playing up front as Højlund is not fit to start the game.
CURRENT DRAFT
Below is my current draft.
I am pretty set on Saka, Mbeumo, Bruno and Rashford.
I do also want a second Arsenal attacker for their opening fixtures and I think Ødegaard is the best of these.
João Pedro seems great value at £5.5m given that he’s on penalties.
The defender and goalkeeper positions are the ones that I’m least confident about currently.
I would like City defence cover so one of Dias or Ederson will likely stay.
I’m also keen on starting with at least one Chelsea defender, potentially two.
Therefore, Chilwell will almost certainly be in my team along with maybe James or Colwill.
I don’t imagine my team will look too different to this on Friday evening.
